Become Debt Free

When you hear people say you need to become debt free, does it infuriate you because you think it's easier said than done? It can be incredibly frustrating when someone tells you something like that but doesn't offer suggestions as to how it can be done. And yes, we think you should definitely become debt free, but we're actually going to share our knowledge with you.

Ways to Become Debt Free
Sittin' on the dock of the bay? Well, that won't help you become debt free. But one good way to try to become debt free is to transfer your credit card balances to a credit card with a 0% introductory rate. For a time, the 0% rate was only for six months, which hardly made it worth the effort. But now you can find them lasting from a year to a year and a half. If you're financially able, you could try to pay off the entire balance during that time frame. But if that's not possible, you may have to transfer what you don't get paid off during the introductory period to another 0% card. Just make sure the cards you transfer to don't have an annual fee or a balance transfer fee.

If transferring your balances to a 0% card is not an option, you can still get help with your debt by enrolling in a debt management program. There are so many different debt free programs available these days that you don't have to worry about finding one that doesn't "fit the bill" for you, so to speak. There's debt settlement, student loan debt consolidation, a debt consolidation loan, a debt consolidation mortgage or just a basic debt consolidation program. All of these programs have different qualifications, but there's at least one that will guarantee to be the one that will help you become debt free--usually in five years or less, too!

Hopefully these ideas on how to become debt free will get you on the road to debt free living--sooner rather than later.
