	<title>Debt Free</title>
	<description>
America, the land of the free, home of the brave. The debt free? Not quite. Over $800 billion was spent on credit card debt last year. Due to a supposed lack of debt free programs, the average consumer needs over 13 years to become debt free. We may enjoy unlimited freedom of speech and religion, but when it comes to enjoying a debt free existence, Americans have a very long way to go. How long do we have to go until we live in debt free society? As a whole, probably a very, very long time. But individuals can look into solutions for a debt free America, beginning right now.

Hindrances to a Debt Free Life
Consumers aren't necessarily to blame for their debt problems. Just because you suffer from credit card debt does not make it your fault. Look at the type of advertising that credit card companies shove down our throats: low introductory interest rates! Generous spending limits! The combination seems appealing; it seems worth our while to sign up for every credit card application that floods our mail box. But the reality is that these supposed deals are designed to prevent consumers from ever becoming debt free. Think about it: if you are constantly charging because of a large credit limit, while paying a low monthly minimum and a high interest rate, where will that leave you? Hopefully not filing for bankruptcy, but definitely not enjoying a debt free life. You need to do what you can in order to achieve full and enjoyable debt consolidation.

What can you to do avoid these credit traps? For starters, do not keep all of your balance on one, high interest credit card. This is the antithesis of an effective debt solution. Either spread it out, or, ideally, transfer all of your debt to a credit card that does not require you to pay the proverbial arm and leg merely on interest. The opportunity to become debt free will soon follow. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, always pay as much of your monthly bill as you can if you want to achieve debt free living quickly. Do not do what the credit card companies want you to do and that's pay merely the minimum every month. You'll never become debt free this way. Instead, focus on your balance and attempt to dwindle it down to nothing at all with every single payment. This is an example of efficient debt management that all consumers can put into practice themselves to achieve a debt free life.

To find debt free services that can provide you with the debt relief you need, you can search our resources page or the Internet.
